Village House with Private Pool and Large Garden, Cortes de la Frontera

Ref: AM11092026

This spacious two-storey house sits in the white village of Cortes de la Frontera, in the Serranía de Ronda between the Sierra de Grazalema and Los Alcornocales natural parks. It combines generous living space with a private pool and a large garden, which is uncommon for a village property.

The front door opens into an entrance hall leading to the main living areas. The ground floor is laid out around a large open-plan living and dining space with beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and exposed brick columns, with a built-in planter as a central feature. A lounge with an open fireplace sits off this space, and a separate sitting room by the staircase has marble floors and plenty of natural light.

The kitchen has an induction hob, oven, dishwasher and extractor hood, with room for a large dining table. A walk-in pantry provides useful extra storage.

The house has five bedrooms, most with marble floors and fitted wardrobes. The main bedroom has its own fireplace and air conditioning, and another bedroom has a glazed window bay with views over the village. There are three bathrooms, including a large family bathroom with a corner bath.

Garden and Outdoor Space

The garden is one of the property’s main features and is unusually large for a village house. It is mostly laid to lawn and has several mature orange trees, which give shade in summer and fruit in season. There are also cypress trees, stone-edged flower beds with roses and other planting, and a small pond.

A traditional stone well sits in the middle of the lawn, and stone paths lead through the garden. A swing hangs from one of the orange trees, which makes it a good space for children.

Nearer the house, a covered dining area with a tiled floor is set up for eating outdoors, with room for a large table and chairs. Above the lawn, a fenced sun terrace has space for loungers. Steps lead up from there to the pool, which has its own tiled terrace.

Views

The garden looks out towards the surrounding mountains, and the village church tower can be seen from the terrace steps. From the edge of the property, there are open views across the white houses of Cortes de la Frontera to the hills of the Serranía de Ronda beyond. Inside, one of the bedrooms has a glazed window bay looking out over the village rooftops and trees.

There is also a rear patio with access to the laundry room, and a covered garage.

Cortes de la Frontera has shops, bars, restaurants and a school, and its railway station on the Ronda–Algeciras line gives access to the wider region. The surrounding countryside offers excellent walking and outdoor activities.
